THE PROGRESSIVE GLOBAL MARCH: It’s not all Greek to me.
(Part of a Series on Sustainable Development (Agenda 21)
WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?
ANSWER: Bill Clinton!
The “Hellenic Initiative” (THI) was launched in Athens during a roundtable discussion in late July, to organize international collaboration in support of the “sustainable” long-term development and economic “growth” of Greece. Featured in this discussion was none other than Mr. Globalist himself… Bill Clinton!
GROWTH… WHAT “GROWTH” ?!?!– Greece has one of the lowest birth-rates in the EU and one of the highest populations of elderly people! Greece will only experience “growth” when more Greeks are allowed to be born and participate in their economy!
The hubris behind Bill Clinton’s visit to Athens with his no-fooling’-this-time-really solutions for Greece– should make every Greek person punish Bill by shipping a bottle of retsina to his home in Chappaqua, N.Y. (Uncharacteristic of my love for Greece and Grecian things, I must admit that you MUST be Greek in order to enjoy the ancient retsina wine).
This “Hellenic Initiative” has the wrong point of departure. What has actually destroyed Greece economically are the infamous “sustainable development” and “growth” programs– based on the United Nations globalist takeover, known as Agenda 21— where the good of the planet comes before the economic and cultural interests, in this case, of the Greek people– not to mention the attack on their sovereignty. No one knows this better than Bill Clinton– who has participated in this debauchery through his Clinton Global Initiative. The Clinton Global Initiative endorses EngenderHealth (www.EngenderHealth.org) an international organization which promotes so-called “safe abortions” on-demand, and which has aggressively fought against the pro-life Mexico City Policy, introduced by Ronald Reagan in 1984. In addition, the Clinton Global Initiative lists as one of their “strategic partners” the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation– which also has a long history of supporting “safe abortions” on an international level.
In Greece– Agenda 21 promotes depopulation– both through abortion on demand and abortifacients. (Personally, I prefer more Greeks than less Greeks in this world). In addition, the United Nations Sustainable Development and “growth” programs have displaced millions of people across the globe– by encouraging urban growth. This has been taking place for years. Sadly, there are beautiful rural areas and villages in Greece which have become ghost towns– such as in Crete, where I spent time as a linguist.
Every Greek citizen must be made aware that the enforcement of Agenda 21 (Sustainable Development) in Greece begins with the evil idea that Greek population growth is dangerous to the planet– and that their consumption of food (particularly MEAT)— as well as their lifestyle and culture must be controlled and must conform to proper “environmental stewardship”. So much for traditional Greek home-cooking…
This initiative to save Greece with the inclusion of Bill Clinton’s globalist approach– is to further violate Greece’s sovereignty, as well as its prominence in the world, historically and culturally. Given my level of indignation, I will pause and prepare my afternoon cup of English tea (or espresso– depending on where my reflections take me). Back in a few moments…
Definitely espresso.
Let’s consider Bill Clinton’s State of the Union speech (July 19, 1999)– where he proclaimed “the government as a progressive instrument of the common good.” [emphasis added]. This progressive agenda for the “common good” is what has thrown entire nations into economic chaos– by allowing the United Nations and the Socialist elite to violate their beliefs, their principles and their values. In Greece, the globalists have altered the course of Greek society and governance– by applying the “consensus” approach in decisions involving everything from restructuring public utilities, such as the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE)– to redrafting labor laws.
Alas, as happens so often with the fantasies of Socialism– there are always more “global” solutions waiting around the corner– from the likes of Bill Clinton and his Clinton Global Initiative.
Meanwhile, the “troika” of the European Union-International Monetary Fund-European Central Bank (EU-IMF-ECB) is always contemplating bailouts for Greece– while continuing to demand more austerity measures and evidence of more reforms. But remember, that these reforms remain within the vicious circle of the Euro zone Socialist system of laws. As with any country that allows the United Nations to dictate within its borders– Greece’s Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras, finds himself in a weak position– constantly torn by the pressure from the demands for “consensus” from the Panhellenic Socialists (ΠΑΣΟΚ) and the Democratic Left.
The IMF appears to have reached the end of its rope and is ready to pull the plug on Greece– which could throw Greece into default of its loans as early as September. This is a desperate situation for the Greek people who are facing 22.5% unemployment– and an economy shrinking with approximately 1,000 businesses closing each week.
Greeks are no longer in control of their nation. Someone else is. This is tragic for humanity– and for the Greeks, who have given so much to the world. Such is the great deception of Socialism– which I find reflected in the following lyrics sung by Giannis Parios.
[Excerpt: English translation)
“Someone else is calling you, someone else is judging you
someone else is leading you to the void
Someone else commands you and puts you in hell
someone else (is) at the end, it’s not me
Who’s paying, it’s not me
Who’s charging, it’s not me
Who’s bleeding, who is the victim of the most beautiful deception…”

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (AGENDA 21)
GREECE’S MODERN-DAY BATTLES OF THERMOPYLAE and SALAMIS
“Forward, sons of Greeks,
Liberate the fatherland,
Liberate your children, your women,
The altars of the gods of your fathers,
And the graves of your ancestors,
Now is the fight for everything.” — Hymn at the Battle of Salamis
Second only to my experiences in America, some of the best moments of my life were spent in Greece– where I also sadly witnessed the economic destruction of this beautiful country, at the hands of the Socialists.
At this perilous juncture, the Greek people will have to confront the Socialist forces and Eurozone profligacy that are violating their sovereignty– in order to stop the game of Russian Roulette, with their economic and cultural future.
The Panhellenic Socialist Movement (ΠΑΣΟΚ) has led Greece down the path of Euro profligacy. Their philosophy is manifested in the atheist-inspired manifesto, titled THE CHARTER OF GREEK UNIVERSITIES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT –which coalesces Greek universities in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development (Agenda 21). This document not only ignores the fact that their population is 95% Greek Orthodox (which– devout or not, plays an incredible role in their Christian identity)– but it also ignores the importance of Greek history and culture– choosing instead to concentrate on “the socio-economic and cultural development of the planet.”
As I reflect on this modern Greek tragedy, I am reminded that the Greeks of the 20th and 21st centuries have been betrayed by their Socialist and morally-bankrupt leaders– much like Ephialtes betrayed the ancient Greeks at the battle of Thermopylae– a battle against the Persians– where the Greeks showed tremendous courage in spite of overwhelming odds. I am also reminded of the battle of Salamis, also against the Persians– where the Greeks were victorious– a turning point in developing the path of Ancient Greece and Western Civilization.
Indeed, there is much for the Greek people to draw from historically– if they are to save their nation and their sovereignty.
