A LABOR DAY REFLECTION: THE FRUITS OF OUR LABOR… AND OUR TAXES.

As American taxpayers find themselves buffeted by tumultuous financial times, why– I ask, is there a total lack of interest from GM to welcome the Obama-Biden team to their abode– which was rescued by the taxpayers of America? After all, there was a time– not so long ago, when there were reverential tones emanating from General Motors towards Obama– presenting him as the brilliant master mind behind the massive bail-out. Are we expected to forget how GM executives called out for Public-Private Partnerships (Socialist scams) as the solution for the future of the auto industry? Thus, Government Motors was born. Are we also expected to forget the twisted use of controversial TARP funds for the GM bailout?– with $16.4 billion in TARP funds placed in an escrow account for GM.

It appears that the taxpayers’ indignation and the lack of public confidence in Obama has hushed the GM executives. The PR connecting tissue between GM and Obama-Biden has disappeared; nevertheless– we, as taxpayers, are left holding the bag.
