TO CHINA WITH LOVE
The love affair between Washington DC and China moves in one direction—towards Beijing. This ongoing deceptive relationship is one which I chronicle in the series The Beijing Affair.
U.S. Defense Secretary, Leon Panetta, has paid a visit to China’s Vice President, Xi Jinping (who had mysteriously disappeared for about two weeks). The meeting took place on Wednesday in Beijing, at the Great Hall of the People (that the Communists like to exterminate).
The meeting included the usual nauseating expressions of American admiration and respect for China and their various Communist dignitaries. It also served as a platform for Panetta’s proud announcement that the U.S. would invite a Chinese ship to participate in a 2014 naval exercise off the coast of Hawaii.
Ah yes… that’s right– the usual appeasement approach of “sharing and collaboration”.
Mr. Panetta seems to forget the following:
Chinese armament includes,
Sea-launched missiles (both nuclear and conventionally armed)
Nuclear and diesel submarines
Cruise missiles
Intercontinental ballistic weapons
Combat aircraft and bombers
Electromagnetic pulse weapons
Anti-satellite weapons
… and they are all designed to hurt us– as well as the Asian neighborhood.
China is our most dangerous political and economic enemy. China is actively engaged in an asymmetric war against us– through dirty and illicit trade and economic practices. China is, undoubtedly, behind much of the manipulations that feed the Middle East crisis– lest we forget the Chinese aggressive economic activity in Northern and sub-Saharan Africa. So, why in the world would we need to invite these Communist criminals to participate with us in naval exercises?
Ah yes… that’s right– because we must “share and collaborate”.
This one-way love affair will not end well—and the victims are the American people who continue to be deceived by these merchants of lies, that betray our security and our sovereignty.
And so it goes… to China with love.
